In order to create this texture on the back of my file I used heavy duty paper & some nail polishes (within my colour palette to keep to the teme) Cling film was applied whilst the polish was still wet and was peeled off when dry creating this creased transparent effect -resembling pressed raven wings!

Colour palette & print ideas:



The colour palette for my collection was lifted off the raven itself. As the colours depend on the angle of the light when it hits the feathers; different angles would produce different colours i.e. hues of green, purple, yellow tinges and so forth.

I designed this dress sitting in the gardens of the tower of london in a state of bliss. RAVENS GALORE! E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!!!(They were quality company really) The structure of the garment was inspired by the negative space created from one raven standing in front of another.

I can't believe I wasted a few hours of my life. AHHHHHH!! But whatevs I will use the sketches as development work. Instead, I have decided to use this imagery + add backdrop picture (soft light blend mode) to give it a bit of substance. I am aware this print is just HOKAI. It is not quirky enough for my liking but I don't have time to execute my dream lining idea!!!!!!! 7658647635734jkghiuygo...I'm not happy coz i suck at life.

The initial sketchups was all dark & sombre. 2 hours of work = flushed in toilet! Bebe bird sitting on the tree! hehe ^^











11am- 8pm. Finito!!!! Hardcore, almost nonstop.. but doesn't feel like I worked at all! Can't believe I started & finished one of my lining designs today!! *kekeke* yaye! So proud of oneself. ^.^ At some point my eyes felt like bleeding....but I can't stop....The harder I work the more time I can spend with him! More work = More A !! *kekeke*

TOPICA CORVUS.

So.. I've decided to name my collection 'Topica Corvus' which translates to the 'Modern Day Raven'. It is intended to be a play on words, it's ironic as it sounds like 'tropical corvus' i.e. a tropical birds. XD

I use to love those intricate stylized wing designs (you know what i mean) but they're EVERYWHERE!! pfffttttt. ^^ Above are some abstract wing/ raven designs done in Forth bar with the lovely company of friends (many moons ago) but only now did i vector the logo. Don't catch the last train or you would arrive late!! It all started with a guy I drew on the street. Then it evolved...and transcended. Lines aren't perfect (yet!) & colourflying said colour to its aura? Temporary. He is giving off good juju. oh yes!
